My Newstar NS-211MICRO 2-port KVM-switch

Disclaimer: this came from TWiki, I really CBA to convert it properly now, but here's the text anyway.

This is a nice little device I picked up at a Eindhoven computer fair,
and has 2 PS/2 mouse/keyboard and VGA outputs, and 2 "built-in" cables
(6 feet long) which split into PS/2 mouse/kbd and VGA at the end, so no
more cable mess. Or at least a bit less. There are 2 LED indicators for
each input port, and a port-toggle pushbutton.

What follows here is a summary of the nice manual.

---++ Some features

	* PS/2 mouse/kbd emulation for error-free booting
	* hot-pluggable
	* PnP monitor support
	* up to 2048x1536 resolution

---++ Keyboard hot-key commands

	| switch to 1st PC	  | ScrLck ScrLck 1	|
	| switch to 2nd PC	  | ScrLck ScrLck 2	|
	| previous active port | ScrLck ScrLck Up |
	| next active port | ScrLck ScrLock Dn |
	| auto scan mode		 | ScrLck ScrLck 0	|

So... ScrLck twice is a hint :-) They must be pressed within *2 seconds*
timeout. The switch will then wait for the 3rd command (LED flashing).

---++ Chaining to other kvm switch

Timeouts are important when daisy-chaining this one (with monitor attached)
to [[My_Digitus_Connect_4_port_KVM_switch]] (with 4 PC's attached). That
one has a timeout of 0.5 seconds (I think), so to be sure ScrLck keypresses
go only to the Newstar thing, tap ScrLck *slow*. The Digitus switch can then
be used by tapping Ctrl-Ctrl to cycle through PC's. Works like a charm :-)
